How Reliant Transport cut daily scheduling from 6+ hours to 15 minutes with Bambi.
Jeffrey Hoff bought a Winston-Salem wheelchair transport company in 2019, doubled its trip volume, and made it North Carolina's first NEMTAC-accredited NEMT provider. Bambi took scheduling and dispatch from a full day of staff time to a quarter hour.

A finance career, then a wheelchair van company
Jeffrey Hoff spent more than 30 years in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. By 2019 he wanted a hands-on business with recurring revenue and real community impact. He studied the NEMT sector the way he had studied every deal, and in 2019 he bought Reliant Transport, a Winston-Salem wheelchair transportation provider operating since 2015.
He rebuilt it around three things: operational excellence, driver quality and technology. Certified trainers ride with every driver at least once a quarter. Every van carries dual-facing cameras and telematics. Vehicles are replaced on a regular cycle.
First in North Carolina
In 2026 Reliant Transport became the first NEMT provider in North Carolina to earn full NEMTAC accreditation. Its drivers hold First Aid, CPR, AED, defensive driving, NEMTAC Certified Transportation Specialist and Assisted Mobility Device Securement certifications.
"Bambi provides us with all of the critical data needed to manage the business." Jeffrey Hoff
Six hours of scheduling, every day
Before Bambi, Reliant's dispatch team spent 3 to 4 hours a day entering trips and another 3 to 4 hours building the schedule. Trip data input was a weak spot in the software Jeff inherited.
With Bambi, dispatchers press Run Bambi Run and the day is assigned in seconds. The whole workflow now takes 15 minutes or less, even though trip volume has doubled since 2019. The same work that used to need one to two people now needs half to one.
"Bambi removed the heavy lifting from the scheduling and dispatching workflow entirely. The platform's intuitive interface meant the team could focus on what matters most: getting patients to their appointments safely, on time, and with compassion." Jose Bahena, Dispatch Manager
Billing in hours, not days
Invoicing moved from days to hours with Bambi's QuickBooks export. Facilities request trips through their own portal and can follow the driver on a live map, which cuts the phone calls. Drivers moved to the Bambi Driver App with no difficulty.
"Bambi provided us with a scalable and efficient base to grow." Jeffrey Hoff
Changing to Bambi is the most impactful thing I did for my NEMT Business.
