Unassigned Trips List Sidebar: On the Left side of the dashboard all unassigned trips are listed. Each unassigned trip has pickup time (Blue), Passenger name, Pickup and Dropoff location, and estimated trip completion time. Any Trip Status and Space Type or custom tags.

White area indicates available time for trips on the schedule during an assignment.
Grey area indicates unavailable time outside of their assignment schedule.
Filter by Date: View Previous or Future Days
Scroll Vertically to view daily schedule hours.
Estimated Revenue: Total estimated daily revenue based on pricing and the day’s assignments.

Edit Assignment by tapping the three dots dropdown on the right corner of the column.
UnAssign All Trips by tapping the three dots dropdown on the right corner of the column.
Add a Break by tapping the three dots dropdown on the right corner of the column.

3.3.2 Assigning Trips Manually
Manual Trip Assignment: Select individual unassigned trip from the Unassigned Trips List Sidebar and Drag & Drop the trip to the designated assignment and time slot for drivers and vehicles.
Manual ReAssigning: Drag & Drop unassigned or assigned trips into new time slots for drivers and vehicles on the schedule.
3.3.2.1 Assigning Will Call Trips
Navigate to “Dispatch”
Note: Purple Trips are Will Call Trips
Assign to Driver by Drag and Drop or Selecting available driver.
Troubleshooting “Un-assignable” Will Calls: Will Call trips may have an estimated pickup time outside of the range of assignment (example: 11:59 PM). This will cause difficulty assigning this trip since most NEMT drivers do not work at 11:59 PM and system will return “No Assignments Available”. To Fix and Assign Will Call trips like this follow these steps.
Activate the Will Call Trip: If the rider is ready to be picked up this is a great solution.
Select the “Three Dots” next to the Will Call Trip.
Select “Activate Will call” from the dropdown menu.
Set the Pickup time to an available time within a driver’s assignment.
Change Pickup Time.
Select the “Three Dots” next to the Will Call Trip.
Select “View/Edit” from the dropdown
Change “Estimated Pickup Time” to an available time within a driver’s assignment.
Click “Save”
Extend Assignment to accommodate estimated pickup time
Click Three Dots” next the Driver’s Assignment
Select “Edit Assignment” from the dropdown menu
Extend or change the driver’s assignment to accommodate the Will Call estimated pickup time
Now you will be able to Assign the Will Call Trip by drag and drop to the available driver or selecting the Will Call trip and clicking “Assign” then selecting a driver.
3.3.3 Run Bambi Run - Automated AI Trip Assignment
Automated AI Bulk Trip Assignment: Select multiple unassigned trips or “Select All’ from the Unassigned Trips List Sidebar and tap ‘Run Bambi Run’ button at the bottom of the list. Next confirm ‘Assignment Selection’ for drivers and vehicles for that scheduled day by selecting individual assignments or all assignments. ‘Run Bambi Run’ in less than 10 seconds will automatically assign all the trips to optimize routes for that day’s schedule.
What is Route Optimization?
Route optimization is the process of assigning trips and arranging stops in the most efficient way possible. Bambi software factors locations, appointment times, traffic conditions, driver availability and any special requirements to determine the best schedule for your fleet. The goal is to maximize the number of trips completed and also minimize the number of total fleet miles driven.
Why might some routes appear counterintuitive?
While our optimization aims to reduce overall drive time and maximize service capacity, it sometimes creates schedules that are not immediately obvious. For example, a driver may travel out of their usual area if doing so enables another driver to handle more trips or significantly reduce unnecessary deadhead (empty) miles). The bigger-picture outcome is a more efficient fleet-wide schedule even if one individual driver appears to take an “extra” detour.
2. ‘Run Bambi Run’ Schedule Recommendation: Review, ReAssign & Apply: Bambi’s AI Automated Scheduling suggestions will appear quickly and can be reviewed for accuracy and optimization.

ReAssign Trips: It is easy to reassign by Drag & Drop trips into new spots or add additional ‘New Assignments’ to the schedule.
Apply or Cancel Schedule: Tap the green ‘Apply’ button Bambi will save the Schedule.
3.3.4 Reassigning Trips Manually
Manual ReAssigning: Drag & Drop unassigned or assigned trips into new time slots for drivers and vehicles on the schedule.
When the current day and schedule is in progress you can view the real-time schedule as it evolves throughout the day. Since Drivers, Vehicles, and Trips are GPS tracked via the Bambi Driver App each trip will change to match real time status. Trips can be delayed, canceled, added, or completed.
