Adding Trips

Add Trip:  “Add a Trip” on the top right of the navigation menu.

Passenger: Find Passenger or add a new one. (Required)
Start typing the passenger's name in the search to the left

-If the passenger exists, click to select

-If the passenger is not found, click the "Add ..." option and fill out the passenger form as normal

Payer: Select a payer (Required)

-Toggle Link Passenger to Payer
(If checked, the passenger will be available to facility users with access to this payer)

Select Transport Type:

Ambulatory Load / Unload: Passenger is able to walk.

Broda Chair Load / Unload: Specialized wheelchair.

Geri Chair Load / Unload: Basic Geriatric chair.

Stretcher Load / Unload: Stretcher Cot.

Wheelchair Load / Unload: Basic wheelchair.

Wheelchair XL Load / Unload: Extra-Large or Bariatric wheelchair

Select a service Type:

Curb to Curb: Passenger is picked up at the curb and dropped off at the curb

Door to Door: Passenger is picked up at door and dropped off at door

Door Through Door: Passenger is met inside pickup location (if necessary) and dropped off inside destination (if necessary)

Provide Wheelchairs: Does the passenger need the driver to provide a wheelchair?

Infectious Disease Toggle

Oxygen Required Toggle (If Yes, indicate estimated Oxygen Amount (Liters per minute)

Requested by Name: Person requesting the Trip

Requested by Phone Number (Include Phone Extension)

Input Manually Updated Price: Overrides Passenger Payer Price Scheme settings.

Additional Pickup Details: Click Plus Icon on Right Side

Stairs (Individual Steps)

Stair Equipment:

-Ramp: A ramp is a durable, low-maintenance piece of equipment used to make steps accessible, especially for those using wheelchairs. Portable ramps typically have a 1:12 gradient for safe use. They can be used indoors or outdoors.

-Stair Chair: Also known as a stair lift, it's a motorized chair that travels along a rail mounted to the stairs. It helps people with limited mobility to navigate stairs safely. Stair chairs can be installed on straight or curved staircases, and even outdoors

Tap “Save” when all needed information is filled out

-Add Additional Leg: Tap “+ Additional Leg”

Trips can be Edited or Updated by Tapping the “three dots” on the left side of the row next to the selection box. You have options to:

-Clone: Copy or Duplicate Trip

-Edit

-Cancel

-Add Tags

-Delete

-View Summary

-Edit Invoice

Note: View Trip Subscription Details by tapping the down arrow on any subscription on the left side of the row next to the selection box

How to Bulk Upload Trips from your Broker Portal to Bambi

Bambi allows for uploading of trips to easily import trips from third party NEMT brokers or healthcare facilities.

  1. On the Trips section Tap “Upload” on the top right of the navigation bar.
  2. Select a CSV template
    • Select payer
    • Select template

How to Un-Assign Trips

All Requests - Accept or Reject Trips

All Trip Requests are where requested trips come into the Bambi system from external sources. Bambi will indicate a notification that lists the number of requests that have not been accepted or rejected Trips.

-Navigate to “All Request” on the Trips Sub-Menu and Tap the “Requested” button on the right of each trip request row

  1. Accept Trip: Tap “Accept” after reviewing the trip details.
  2. Reject Trip: Tap “Reject” and review the trip details
    • Indicate a Rejection Reason:
      • Don’t offer this type of trip
      • No capacity
      • No available driver
      • No available vehicle
      • No available equipment
      • Don’t support the passenger
      • Don’t support this payer
      • Not economical to do this trip
      • Other
‍Trip Audit | Exporting and Downloading Trips

Bambi allows downloading of trip details for payer portal uploads, compliance and even specific NEMT Brokers like MTM.

  1. On the Trips section tap “Download” on the top right of the navigation bar.
  2. Select an output format 
    • All Trip details: This provides every data field available for each trip
    • For a Payer Portal Upload: This is for uploading to a selected payer's portal
    • For MTM: This provides reports to upload to MTM
  3. Select report type:
    • Full Report: all system trip data
    • Condensed Report: Report organized with the most critical trip information.
  4. Select Data Range
    • Start Date: When to start pulling the trip information.
    • End Date: When to stop pulling the data from.
  5. Payer: Filter by all or individual Payers.
  6. Passenger: Filter by all or individual passengers.
  7. Click Print to PDF: Download or Print as a PDF document.
  8. Click Export as CSV: Download in a data table (CSV) format.
