Will-calls sit on the left side of the dispatch board as purple cards until someone activates them, from Fleet HQ or right from the driver's phone.

Book it as will-call

Flip the Will Call toggle when you add a trip, or open an existing trip and choose Make it a Will Call Return. The leg waits, unscheduled, on the dispatch board as a purple card.

Assign it ahead

Will-calls carry a placeholder pickup time, often 11:59 PM, that can fall outside a driver's shift. Edit the estimated pickup time or extend the shift, then assign the trip.

Rider's ready, activate

Dispatch activates the will-call from the left side of the board and sets a real time. Or the driver opens Will-Call Trips on the Active tab, taps Activate Will-Call, and confirms.

Driver starts the trip

Once activated, the trip moves out of the will-call list and into the driver's Assigned queue. They tap Start Trip and navigate to the pickup like any other trip.

Turn an existing trip's return into a will-call from Edit Trip instead of building a new trip from scratch.

Driver-side activation

Drivers see a Will-Call Trips count on the Active tab, tap Activate Will-Call, confirm, and the trip lands in their Assigned queue.

Purple board cards

Will-calls show in purple on the dispatch board, so they never blend in with your scheduled trips.

Shift-aware assigning

Bambi won't assign a will-call to a driver who's off duty at its time, which keeps assignments realistic.
